Cookie policy
Cookie
Last updated: 04/05/2026
This policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies on boutique.montandor.fr. Our approach is deliberately frugal: we only set what is strictly necessary for the boutique to operate (cart, session, language) and embed no third-party tracker for advertising or commercial profiling.
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the online boutique to function. Under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and CNIL guidelines, they are exempt from prior consent.
- Cart: holds the items you have added to your basket during your visit. Lifetime: 30 days or until order completion.
- Browsing session: anonymous technical identifier, lifetime limited to the browser session, deleted on browser close.
- Language preference: remembers the selected locale (FR, EN, CA-AD, ES, IT, DE-CH, FR-CH, PT) for your subsequent visits.
- Checkout session: during the order funnel only, secure token linking your cart to the payment transaction. Destroyed on payment completion.
- Consent state: records your choice when you interact with a feature requiring explicit consent.
2. Self-hosted audience measurement
We use self-hosted audience measurement (the Umami tool, running on our own Microsoft Azure West Europe infrastructure). This measurement:
- sets no persistent cookie;
- uses no browser fingerprinting;
- cross-references your data with no external database;
- produces only aggregated and anonymous metrics (page views, referrer source, device type).
On that basis, and consistent with the CNIL and European Data Protection Board (EDPB) position, this audience measurement requires neither prior consent nor a cookie banner. The metrics collected are retained for thirteen rolling months and then purged.
3. User-experience measurement — Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with product pages, the cart and the checkout funnel (click and scroll heatmaps, anonymised session recordings). This helps us identify usage frictions and improve the readability of the boutique. Microsoft Clarity sets the following cookies:
- _clck: anonymous visitor identifier, 1-year lifetime.
- _clsk: anonymous session identifier, 1-day lifetime.
Microsoft Clarity respects the Do Not Track browser signal by default: when enabled, no data is collected. Session recordings automatically mask sensitive fields (forms, passwords, payment data). Data is hosted by Microsoft (GDPR framework, transfers governed by Standard Contractual Clauses). You can opt out at any time by enabling DNT, blocking the clarity.ms domain in your browser, or via the boutique chat.
4. Acquisition measurement — Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand traffic sources and visitor acquisition (marketing channels, campaigns, organic keywords). GA4 sets the following cookies:
- _ga: anonymous visitor identifier, 2-year lifetime.
- _ga_<id>: anonymous session identifier, 2-year lifetime.
GA4 operates without raw IP addresses (anonymisation by default) and respects the Do Not Track signal. Data is hosted by Google (GDPR framework, transfers governed by Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). User-level data retention is set to 14 rolling months. You can opt out by enabling DNT, blocking the googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com domains, or via the boutique chat.
5. No other advertising trackers
Beyond Umami, Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics 4, we embed no other third-party tracker on this site for advertising, marketing, or social-media purposes. In particular, we do not use Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, TikTok Pixel or equivalents. Should such an integration become necessary in the future, we will signal it explicitly through a prior consent banner compliant with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.
6. Browser-side controls
You can delete already-set cookies or block their creation at any time through your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Note that deleting the cart or session cookie will lose the current cart and may interrupt the checkout funnel.
7. Questions
For any question regarding this policy, or to exercise your rights on the technical data linked to your browsing session, email info@montandor.com or use the boutique chat selecting the "Privacy" category.
